Frequently asked questions.. Will I be paid?No, volunteer work is unpaid. Volunteers provide their services of their own free will without any expectation of financial return.
Do I have to obtain a Working with Children Check?Yes. As a Child Safe Organisation, Crossenvale House requires all volunteers to have a valid Working with Children Check.
Do you accept student placements or work experience?Thank you for your interest! Yes consider student placements at our Neighbourhood House.

The project description was to ‘Build the capacity, pride and connectedness of the Crossenvale Estate community.
Crossenvale Community House is located in Echuca, we provide support and assistance to people living in Public Housing, low income households who live in the area of our Community House.
Supports we provide: Free WIFI &Phone access, mini Library, cuppa & chat sessions, Arts & crafts group, Walking group, and Community lunches.
Other supports are Advocacy & referrals to services, Forms help, Printing, PECS Disability card print/ lamination, Food Relief &
Events: We host community events/social groups (LGBTIQA+, Youth, Mental Health & Homelessness, and Family fun days- Harmony day & Easter. We facilitate School Holiday programs for kids living in social housing.
We also provide crisis response to families with access to free hygiene products, period packs, food relief items- frozen, fresh, pantry hampers.
