Join Our Committee of Management

If you have local knowledge, an eye for detail, and an interest in developing your governance skills, then joining our Committee of Management might be the right decision for you. We welcome people of all backgrounds, cultures and levels of experience to apply.

By being a part of the Committee of Management, you will:

• have a direct say and vote regarding the major decisions of Crossenvale Community House,
• contribute to the future direction and growth of the organisation, and,
• develop business and finance skills through mentoring by our current, expert committee members.

Please Note: You will need to complete the same process as becoming Crossenvale Community House Volunteer including; but not limited to, submitting Working With Children and National Police History Checks.

Once you are a Crossenvale Volunteer, you will need to:

1. Submit an Application to join the Committee of Management: This can be completed by coming into the house at 28 Boothman Street, Echuca for a paper copy.
2. Be Elected to the Committee of Management: The Committee of Management will vote on whether to admit you to become join.
3. Ensure All Pre-Volunteer Checks Have Been Submitted and are Current: You will need to apply for and submit copies of your Working With Children Check and National Police History Check (no more than 3 months old).
4. Induction and Welcome: You may need to update your commitment to the Policies and Procedures and be provided a safety briefing. If you wish, we will hold a morning tea so existing volunteers and community members can meet you.
5. YOU'RE NOW A MEMBER OF THE COMMITTEE OF MANAGEMENT!!

Our most recent Impact Statement from Neighbourhood Houses Victoria demonstrates that for every $1 invested into Crossenvale Community House, there is $8.44 worth of community benefit. With you adding to our programs and governance, we hope to increase our economic, social and educational benefits. 

The greatest resource that a person has is their time, as it is almost the only thing that is irreplaceable. We thank you for considering the gift of your time and effort to make our house a better place.
